The Avenue des Champs Elys\u00e9es in Paris is the only avenue to recover precovery levels.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 150%; background: white; margin: 6.0pt 0cm 9.0pt 0cm;\"><span style=\"color: #141414;\">The monthly average of pedestrian traffic on Gran V\u00eda increased by 44% from June 2021 to May 2022, which places Madrid in the top 10 in the world in terms of pedestrian traffic.  <strong>fourth place in Europe<\/strong>behind Avenue des Champs Elys\u00e9es, with an increase of 102%, Leidsestraat in Amsterdam (+55%) and Via Corso in Rome (+49%). Behind the Madrid street are Berlin&#8217;s Kurf\u00fcrstendamm (+31%), London&#8217;s Oxford Street (+31%) and Brussels&#8217; Rue Neuve (+3%).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 9.0pt; line-height: 150%; background: white;\"><span style=\"color: #141414;\"><strong>Mytraffic<\/strong>, a company specializing in traffic analysis, and <strong>Cushman &amp; Wakefield<\/strong>, a real estate consulting firm, have published a ranking of the most emblematic main streets in Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, Madrid, Berlin, London and Brussels, including Madrid&#8217;s Gran V\u00eda.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 9.0pt; line-height: 150%; background: white;\"><span style=\"color: #141414;\">Although traffic has increased considerably in all of them compared to the previous year, <strong>only the Avenue des Champs-Elys\u00e9es in Paris is above precovid levels, <\/strong>with a 23% increase in traffic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 9.0pt; line-height: 150%; background: white;\"><span style=\"color: #141414;\">Berlin&#8217;s Kurf\u00fcrstendamm is down 12%, followed by <strong>Gran Via (-38%)<\/strong>, Rome&#8217;s Via Corso (-44%), Amsterdam&#8217;s Leidsestraat (-47%), London&#8217;s Oxford Street (-59%) and Brussels&#8217; Rue Neuve (-64%) compared to before the pandemic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 9.0pt; line-height: 150%; background: white;\"><span style=\"color: #141414;\">The report shows that despite new uncertainties such as the war in Ukraine and inflation,  <b>visitors have returned to the streets<\/b>  and in the first months of 2022 all major streets showed much higher traffic levels than in 2021: two and a half times more in Amsterdam, twice as much in Rome and almost twice as much in London.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 9.0pt; line-height: 150%; background: white;\"><span style=\"color: #141414;\">On the other hand,  <strong>major international brands such as Uniqlo and Ikea, in Madrid and London respectively, are opening large flagship stores.<\/strong>  In addition, new concepts are emerging, such as the new Gran V\u00eda shopping center, the Wow Concept, which offers its customers an experience that unites the physical and online worlds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>Source: idealista.com<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It has rebounded 44%, according to Mytraffic and Cushman&amp;Wakefield.
